虽然traditional、conventional 的意思都是“传统的”，但traditional 是褒义词或中性词，而conventional 略带贬义，含有“没有新意”的意思。例如：

注意这个例句中不要用conventional，不能对传统的计算机科学、通信电子工程有丝毫贬低。
