optimization of teaching policies have also exerted different influences on the
overall education environment in existing universities to a certain extent. In
addition, with the continuous deepening of the background of fostering virtue
through education, the basic education concept is more in line with the basic needs
of quality education concept. University library, as an important part of university
education, plays a substantial role in many fields of students' education, and the
background of fostering virtue through education also puts forward new teaching
requirements and standards for freshmen education. At the same time, in order
to ensure that freshmen can make rational use of library resources when entering
school, this paper mainly analyzes and studies the innovative mode of freshmen
education integration in university library under fostering virtue through education

Today, with the continuous enrichment of information resources, people's
access to information is also increasing. In addition, in the new era, information
resources are gradually becoming rich and diverse, so students are faced with
diversified choices in their studies or in their lives, and there are even many
uncertain information factors. As one of the key ways for college students to
acquire professional knowledge and related technical information, the library plays
an indispensable role in the whole college education, and it also plays a decisive
role in freshmen education. Therefore, in order to ensure the actual benefits of
college libraries, schools should actively explore and innovate freshmen education
measures and methods, and lay a foundation for future study and life and the use of
book resources.2. The Necessity of Freshmen Education in University Libraries under
the Background of Moral EducationWhen carrying out library education for freshmen in colleges and universities,
we should first make clear the fundamental significance and importance of
freshmen education, and then carry out freshmen education according to specific
teaching contents and teaching needs. As a necessary stage of education for college
students, library freshman education can not only guide students how to make
proper use of book resources, but also deepen their systematic understanding of the
library. Then, in the process of receiving guidance education, they will constantly
improve their interest in the library, and at the same time indirectly stimulate their
reading desire, so that they can actively participate in the use of library materials
in their future studies
[1]. That is, freshman education can cultivate their awareness
of active knowledge seeking, independently analyze and study library materials
and data, and constantly improve their awareness of independent innovation and
innovative ideas. Although it is mainly aimed at freshman education, its scope is
not limited to the freshman field. This systematic and rational education can lay a
good foundation for follow-up teaching.276

3. The Problems of Freshmen Education in University Libraries under
the Background of Fostering Virtue Through Education(1) The form of freshman education is singleAccording to the analysis of most library freshmen's education at present, the
general education work is a mere formality, and the detailed education process
and curriculum are not formulated in strict accordance with the requirements, and
the education time is relatively short. In terms of educational content, there is no
detailed and scientific formulation according to the actual educational needs. Most
students have a general understanding of the library after visiting the library, but
they do not have a grasp of specific book categories and book data information.
This single form of education directly expands the scope of freshmen education,
thus hindering the in-depth development and implementation of freshmen education
in the library [2].(2) The content of freshman education is not the development and progress of society, the number of students in
colleges and universities continues to rise, which indirectly leads to the influence
and obstruction of freshmen education in college libraries to a certain extent.
With the gradual acceleration of the level of science and technology and social
development, if library education does not keep pace with the times in time, it is
not only difficult to guarantee the actual educational effect, but also unable to show
its own actual benefits. In addition, due to the shortage of most college teachers,
it is undoubtedly an arduous task to ensure the pertinence of educational content
in the face of such a large number of students. Secondly, colleges and universities
do not plan the number of trainees reasonably when carrying out library education
for freshmen. As a result, most freshmen are taught in the same way. It is difficult
to proceed from the actual situation of students, and the content of education is not
rich. This erroneous concept of education gradually penetrates into all freshmen's
education work, laying a huge hidden danger for future education.(3) Insufficient educational resources for freshmenMost colleges and universities do not set up special education funds for the
field of library freshmen education, which leads to the lack of all kinds of freshmen
education resources and relatively insufficient library education contents. Secondly,
the lack of dedicated education venues leads teachers to adopt traditional teaching
resources and teaching contents for training, which cannot guarantee the quality
and efficiency of library freshmen education. Even today, with the deepening of
informatization, colleges and universities have not expanded the book resources in
combination with the social development trend, and the resources are boring, which
makes it difficult to arouse students' interest in learning and enthusiasm for reading.277

4. The Specific Measures of the Integration and Innovation Mode of
Freshmen Education in University Libraries under the Background of
Fostering Virtue Through Education(1) Systematic explanationWhen carrying out library education for freshmen, we should first let them
fully understand the basic situation and overall layout of the whole library, and
then carry out systematic training and education for them. After the students have
mastered the general situation of the library, the teacher should introduce the
collection of books to the students, and explain them one by one according to the
categories of each department set up in the library, and show them how to correctly
distinguish the book categories from the book resources. Then, in the whole process
of basic education, the teacher should popularize the relevant system standards to
the students and interpret the rules and regulations of books, so that they can fully
understand them scientifically and reasonably in the future. Even at present, with
the deepening of information construction, various libraries have also enriched a
large number of information and book resources, such as some periodicals, data
information or CD-ROMs, etc. Teachers should also explain to students how to
interpret and utilize information-based book resources, and explain to students the
correct service scope of various network resources, so as to give full play to the
actual benefits of library resources in the future [3].(B) Training students' basic abilityAt present, the university library has basically realized informatization, and the
traditional library management forms and borrowing reading methods are basically
not retained. For this reason, when facing the computer library management
mechanism, teachers should first cultivate students' basic application ability, so
that they can find the correct way to obtain book information among various
information library management methods. This Internet-based library management
has many advantages and is easy to use, but it has certain requirements for
students' basic ability. Therefore, teachers should take this part as the main focus
of teaching and training, so as to extend the cultivation of other abilities. Colleges
and universities pay attention to cultivating students' abilities of self-reliance
and innovation in scientific research. Therefore, the role of libraries is essential
in cultivating comprehensive abilities in this field. Teachers should integrate the
correct use of computer systems into freshmen's education, and adopt step-by-step
training measures to train their basic abilities. On the one hand, this can improve
freshmen's ability to use comprehensive information, and on the other hand, it can
well meet the development needs of the times
[4].(3) Improve the information service carrying out library education for freshmen, we should not only focus

on all kinds of basic education for freshmen, but also pay attention to the library's
own management mechanism and system, and try our best to improve all kinds
of information service mechanisms to provide more convenient conditions for
freshmen's reading. In addition, it is necessary to improve the library management's
sense of responsibility and professional ability, collect all kinds of information
and reading suggestions from students' reading feedback in time, and optimize
and reform them according to their own actual situation. At the same time, it
is also possible to use online platforms or the Internet to collect information,
build communication channels between libraries and students according to real
information, understand students' different needs, and improve the basic service
mechanism according to relevant information, so as to ensure the actual benefits of
libraries in the field of education.5. ConclusionTo sum up, today, with the deepening background of fostering virtue through
education, it is of great significance to accelerate innovation and optimize the
freshmen's education mode in university libraries to promote the sustainable
development of libraries. Although library freshman education is a kind of basic
education work, with the development and progress of the times and the deepening
of educational ideas in the new era, this basic education work needs to fully keep
pace with the times, and it also needs to constantly innovate and change in the
course of social development, so as to promote the progress and development of the
