教学过程
Greetings
Step 1. Lead-in (5’)
Teaching procedures
A. Asking the students “what do they usually do on birthday?” collecting
different answers.
B. Leading to the topic “inviting friends on their birthday party.”(Write the
words “ can you come to my birthday party ?”on the blackboard)
Step 2.
1. Show the students the PPT, telling them the story in the
presentation and visualize them.
2. Show the students three structures: (12’)
A. Can you …..
B. Could you please…….
C. Would you like to……
Step 3. Speaking ( dialogues in the picture) (15’)
1. Lead the student to read the dialogues and translate them.
2. Teach the important language points: ( write them down on the
blackboard)
A. Can you come to my party?
Sure, I’d love to./I’d like to.
I’m sorry, I can’t. I have to……/I am v-ing……
B. Can you +verb
eg. Can you speak English?
Can you run fast?
C. Have to +verb
Step 4:
Looking and matching (section A 1a)
1. Turn to page 25. Ask students to look at the phrases in 1a,
then translate them into Chinese one by one.
2. Lead the students to read the phrases.(5’)
3. Play a game and divide the students into two parts to
compete. (let one student stand on the stage, show him or her
a phrase. Let him or her play the roles in order to make his or
her group to understand so that they can call the phrase out
accordingly. The group who can write be finished faster will be
the winner.)(10’)
4. Ask students to match the words with the pictures.
5. Check answers. (3’)
Step 5: homework.(1c)
1. Turn to page 25 ask the students to play the roles and make
discussions on their own.
2. Ask 2 students to play the role next time.
