order、ever、even的用法
order在这里是动词，意思是"点菜"。另外在餐厅里还有一句话是比较常用的，侍者通常会说"Can I take the
order now?"这里的order也是"点菜"的意思，但是是名词。order的用法总结如下：
order的用法
1）v. 命令，吩咐，订（定）购，叫菜，点菜。例如：
The doctor ordered him to stay in bed for a couple of days. 大夫嘱咐他卧床一两天。
The manager ordered that the gate should be locked. 经理嘱咐大门要锁好。
You can order tickets by telephone.可以电话订票。
He ordered a cup of coffee.他要了一杯咖啡。
2）n. 命令（可数），订货（可数），秩序（不可数），顺序（不可数）。例如：
The policemen received an order and set out at once. 警察接到命令立刻出发了。
He has placed an order for 100 copies of the book. 他已经预定了一百本这种书。
He found everything in the house in good order. 他发现屋子里秩序井然。
Arrange the books in order of size.按大小顺序摆好书。
3）order还常构成in order to do something或in order that„。例如：
He works hard in order to(so as to)succeed.为了成功努力工作。
I lent him 5 pounds in order that he might buy the book. 我借给他5英镑以便让他买这本书。
ever用作副词，意为“曾经、以前、无论何时、总是”等。其用法比较灵活，现归纳如下：
一、用于一般疑问句，意为“曾经、这以前”现代汉语中一般不译出。
Does she ever go outat night？她通常晚上外出吗？
Have you ever beento Beijing？你曾去过北京吗？
When you wereworking there，did youever meet a foreigner？你在那里工作时曾见过外国人吗？
注意1．ever用于疑问句时，其答语中不用ever，若否定则用never，如：Have you ever heardthe song
sung？Yes，Ihave．（No，Never．）
注意2．“Did you ever．．．？”有时单独使用或用于反问句，表示“惊讶、愤怒、怀疑”等。如：
Did youever hear suchnonsense？你真的听到过如此胡言乱语？
Did you ever see the UFO？你还见到过飞碟？
二、用于否定句，意为“无论何时都不„„，至今不曾„„”。
Nothing ever happens in the lonely vil-lage．这个遥远的小村子至今未出过事。
We hardly ever go shopping there．我们至今未在那里买过东西。
Ihave not ever been there alone．我从未单独去过那里。
注意：ever虽可与not连用，但通常习惯用never代替。
三、用于条件句，译为“曾经、有机会”。
If you ever come to Beijing，please letme know．如果有机会来北京，请告诉我。
If you ever have any problems，pleasecall me．你若有问题，请打电话。
四、与比较级连用，译为“以前、以往、任何时候”。
It is raining hard than ever．雨下得比以前更大了。
When she got the letter，she became an-grier than ever．拿到信时，她比以前更生气了。
五、与最高级连用，译为“空前、有史以来、从来没有”。
Ithink she is the best actress ever．我认为她是至今最优秀的演员。
This is the biggest harvest ever．这是空前未有的大丰收。
六、与疑问词连用，加强语气，译为“到底、究竟”。
When（where）ever did you see the pan-da？你到底在什么时候（哪里）看见那只熊猫的？
Who ever disagreed with you？究竟是谁不同意你？
七、口语中，用于带有be的疑问句加重语气，表感叹。
Is she ever a beauty？她真漂亮！
上句可换为：
Isn't she a beauty？
What a beauty she is！
八、构成短语。
1．as．．．asever“照旧、依旧”
Although she is old，she is as beautiful asever．她虽年纪大了，但风韵依旧。
2．as．．．as ever sb．can“尽可能„„”
Work as hard as ever you can！尽你最大努力工作！
上句可改为：
Work as hard as possible．
Work as hard as you can．
3．ever since“从„„以后，一直”
She has known me since she was a girl．她从孩子时候起，就认识我。
She was born in 1989．Ever since she haslived there．她生于1989年，自那以后一直住在那里。
4．ever so＋adj（adj）或ever such＋n在口语中为“非常、很”
The book is ever so interesting．这本书非常有趣。
She is ever such a humourous writer．她是个很幽默的作家。
even的用法
1. 作副词表示"甚至;连;都"之意时,其位置应靠近所强调的词或短语,位置放错会影响整个句子的意思。试比较:
Even he helped me. 甚至他都帮我。(强调he)
He even helped me. 他甚至帮助我。(强调helped)
He helped even me. 他连我都帮助。(强调me)
2. even构成的短语有:even if/though(即使); even so(虽然如此); even as(恰好在„„时候)等。如:
Even if we achieve great success, we should not be conceited. 即使我们取得了很大的成绩, 也不应该骄傲。
The new method is not perfect; even so, it's much better than the old one. 新方法并不完善,虽然如此,它比老方法好得多。
Even as we gathered in the last bundles of wheat, it began to rain. 我们刚把最后几捆麦子收进来,天就开始下雨了。
