1. combination:

Collocation:

NB: 注意该词的词性变化。它的动词形式为combine。

这三个词作为名词都有“性格”、“品质”、“特征”之意。

character指成年人已经充分发展的生活方式，而且往往和品格有关。例如：

* You can read a guy’s character at the first glance. 你一眼就可以看出一个人

的性格。

characteristic指某物的任何方面，不涉及全局的重要性，常指有代表性的一个侧面。

常用于科技领域。例如：

* Longevity is an inheritable characteristic. 长寿是一种可遗传的特性。
