I have a bad memory.
When I was a child, I was beaten by my father several times because of my bad
memory. On several occasions, I followed my grandfather to the field.
He was weeding on the other side of the ground. I dug the muddy mud with a

my hands. Then I went to the river to pick some wild flowers, and pulled down the

So I really lost myself several times. Up to now, despite the mobile phone map,
I still lose myself, and it's strange that I always go in the opposite direction.
In fact, that's not what I want to say today.
Apart from a bad memory, I am curious about everything, but this curiosity
can only be maintained for a short period of time. For example, my curiosity about
language.
At the primary school in my hometown, at the beginning, the teacher spoke
local dialect in class. Naturally, we dolls also spoke a fairly pure rural dialect. Later,
Putonghua was popularized throughout the country. The words "please speak
Putonghua" were pasted on the school gate, classroom walls, corridor openings
and even toilet walls.
It's very interesting to say. Once my little friend and I went to the bathroom
hand in hand. When we finished, we came out and washed our hands outside.
Next door was the men's toilet. From inside, there were some noisy voices of boys,
probably shouting dirty words in dialect, I don't know who shouted "Hey, wait, see,
please speak Mandarin. Let's change the language." so, it became lively again,
from the dialect dirty words to Mandarin dirty words. My little partner and I also
muttered that it was better to speak dirty words in dialect.
I was forced to use Mandarin to communicate with my classmates and answer
the teacher's questions. When I got home, I forced my parents to speak Mandarin,
but my grandparents couldn't understand it. My grandmother often said "look,
this is a Pidgin". Later, when I was a little older, I talked to my classmates on the
phone. There were many little secrets between girls of that age, so I didn't want to
be known by my grandparents. At the same time, they didn't understand Mandarin,
so I was talking on the phone upstairs, and my grandmother shouted, "Yo, I'm
afraid I know it again“
My bad memory directly affects my language talent.
After going out of my hometown to study in the province, I only go home
once a month or two. I don't stay at home for long, no more than three days. Once
when I went back, I found that I seemed to have amnesia. It was difficult to
communicate with my grandmother. I couldn't even express some basic dish
names in dialect. What's more, my pronunciation and intonation was no longer the
flavor of my hometown, but a Shanghai accent.
My grandmother suspected that all the students around me were from
Shanghai and were influenced by it. I said that none of the students around me
was from Shanghai. This also makes me confused. Can I automatically generate the
timbre of a certain region?
In addition, I chat with many friends in my hometown. They have strong
language conversion ability. They speak Putonghua at school. When they arrive at
home, they automatically adjust to the hometown mode, and still speak authentic
hometown dialect. But I can't, so I can communicate with them. If they speak
quickly in dialect, my blood flow will speed up immediately. But I have to ask them
to communicate with me in Mandarin. At the beginning, some friends who didn't
know me thought I had been out for a long time and forgot a lot of things in my
hometown. They might even scold me silently in their heart. This guy really has no
conscience. In fact, I really have selective language barrier, or language exchange
barrier. Once one language gains power, another language will be beaten black
and blue.
