Title: Our School's Charity Event
Our school had a charity event. It was a big event. All
students helped. We made things to sell. We collected donations
too.
I made friendship bracelets. They were colorful. I made them
with beads. It was fun to make them. My classmates helped too.
Some students baked cookies. They looked yummy. They
made chocolate chip cookies. They made peanut butter cookies
too.
Other students painted pictures. The pictures were pretty.
They used bright colors. Some painted animals. Some painted
flowers.
My friend Emma knitted scarves. She is good at knitting. The
scarves were soft and warm. She made them in different colors.
In the weeks before the event, we worked hard. We made
many things to sell. Everyone did their part. We wanted to raise a
lot of money.
Finally, the day of the event came. We set up tables in the
school yard. We laid out all our handmade items. They filled up
the tables.
Parents and people from town came. They looked at our
crafts. Many people bought things. The cookies were a hit. They
sold out fast!
We had games too. There was a ring toss game. People tried
to throw rings onto bottles. There was a face painting booth.
Kids got their faces painted like animals.
My dad tried the ring toss. He is not very good at it. But he
had fun trying. My little sister got a butterfly on her face. She
loved it.
As people bought things, we collected money. The money
went into big jars. The jars filled up throughout the day. We
raised more and more money.
At the end of the day, we counted it all. We raised 2,716! It
was an amazing amount. We were all so proud.
