摘要：In a process for producing optically effective structures, in particular lenses and

lens arrays such as prisms, a stepped, optionally effective base structure (10) is formed at

the surface of a substrate (1) by at least one masking step (MS) followed by an etching

step (AS). The base structure (10) is then heated in a melting step (SS) until the substrate

is melted and is smoothed by superficial capillary forces of the molten substrate. For

that purpose, the base structure (10) is introduced in a vacuum chamber (3); there it is

continuously moved with respect to an electron beam (4), in a band-like manner, and at

the same time such an energy intensity is applied to it that a melting zone is produced

whose depth corresponds to the height of at least one step of the stepped base

structure (10). Also disclosed are a device for carrying out this process and novel

products thus created.
