riencesatfourliberalartscolleges,wherefacultyandstudentsworkcollaborativelyona
projectofmutualinterestinanapprenticeshipofauthenticscienceresearchwork,analysis
oftheaccountsoffacultyandstudentparticipantsyieldscomparativeinsightsintothe
structuralelementsofthisformofURprogramanditsbenefiisonof
theperspectivesoffacultyandtheirstudentsrevealedconsiderableagreementonthenature,
range,andextentofstudents’ficstudentgainsrelatingtotheprocessof
“becomingascientist”yframedthese
