摘要：To provide a manufacturing method of a muffling material which prevents a gap

from being generated when filling an internal space in a complicated structure of a

muffler in order to fill the internal space with glass ON: The present

invention relates to a manufacturing method of a muffling material for glass fibers filling

an internal space between a case and an inner pipe in a muffler in which a flow passage

for an exhaust gas is constituted of the inner pipe provided in the case. A shape retaining

container 2 having the same inner surface shape as the internal space is constituted, the

shape retaining container 2 is filled with glass fibers, water is deposited to at least a

surface of a lump material of glass fibers formed along the inner surface shape of the

shape retaining container 2, and the water is frozen. Thus, the lump material of glass

fibers is retained in the same outer surface shape as the internal space, and the shape-

retained lump material of glass fibers is taken out of the shape retaining container 2 and

defined as a muffling ED DRAWING: Figure 1
